New evidence is coming to light that people of color, African Americans especially, are contracting and dying from COVID-19 at shockingly high rates. Alarmed at initial reports, politicians in Maryland and elsewhere are calling for the immediate release of data on COVID-19 cases by race and ethnicity. Come learn about what we know about these racial disparities to date, why African Americans are likely at very high risk the disease, and why data and new forms of outreach, education, and assistance may be needed to combat the threat.
